SEAMING

Seam the bottom of the basket together. Align the two bottom seam edges and seam together. Align one edge of the bottom side of the basket with the side edge of the base of the basket and seam together (A to B). Repeat for the other side of the basket (C to D). Weave in loose ends.

BASKET STABILIZATION

Overlap one short side of one piece of plastic canvas with one short side of the other piece of the plastic canvas, overlapping the sides by 4 in (10 cm). Seam through the holes along both edges of the overlapping pieces of plastic canvas to secure the pieces together. Wrap the now long piece of plastic canvas into an approximately 36 in (91.5 cm) circumference tube, overlapping the ends by 4 in (10 cm) and seaming to secure in place again. This rigid tube can now be used to support the sides of the basket by placing it inside. It is also removable so that you can use your basket as a bag or turn it inside out to highlight the fringed detail.
